Operation BBQ for Our Troops (OBFOT) is a non partisan group of BBQ Competition Teams, Backyard BBQers, and BBQ enthusiasts that come together to show our appreciation by providing our military members a picnic that centers around the unique American food of BBQ.
Across the country our service men and women along with their families have come together before or after deployment for a FREE BBQ meal. Military families have participated in Appreciation Day picnics while their loved ones are on active duty in far off locations. All of these things are FREE to them, which is our way of saying thank you.
OBFOT is also appreciative of those that have served our country and are no longer on active duty or in reserve units. They are afforded the same FREE meals through appreciation days and “Senior Q’s” at local VFW’s or retirement communities.
